Ingredients:
Eggs: 3
Granulated Sugar: 1/2 cup
Vanilla oil: 1/4 teaspoon
Water: 50mL = .2 cup
Cooking oil: 40mL = 8 teaspoons
Wheat flour: 1/2 cup
Baking powder (BP): 1/2 cup or 1 or 2 cups? Got this wrong the first time @_@
Salt: tiny bit
Decoration:
Strawberries: 1 pack
Cream:
Whipped cream: 200mL
Granulated sugar: 10 teaspoons
Directions:
Sponge Cake1. Spread margarine in cake mold and paste a paper mat if wanted.
2. Sift flour and BP. Separate egg white from yolk. Put white of egg in fridge.
3. Scramble eggs in a bowl, then put granulated sugar in and whip with a whisk.
4. Put vanilla oil, water, cooking oil, and flour in one by one, and each time mix it some more.
White of egg5. Heat oven to 320 degrees F and add a little salt.
6. Beat the white of egg with egg beater and make hard meringue almost like whipped cream (don't beat too much) for 8-10 minutes.
7. Add a half of the meringue to #4 and stir it with eggbeater gently.
8. Mix a few times and run the batter into the mold which you prepared in #1. Bake for 30 minutes.
Strawberries9. While baking, washing strawberries and wipe moisture off with paper towel. Cut them in half. For the ones on top of the cake do not cut.
10. While it's cooking you can stick something in the center. If it needs to cook for a few more minutes it's okay.
11. Take it out right away from the mold, and also pick up the paper mat. Put it face down into a cake cooler to cool if you have one.
12. When the sponge has cooled, cut it in half horizontally.
Whip cream used for coating13. Mix the cream with a mixer until it starts to froth a bit. Put the sugar in, and mix it so it's kinda standing at an angle.
14. On the top of the lower half only spread the cream and add the strawberries you cut in half.
15. On the bottom of the lower half spread more cream and put it on top of the bottom half.
16. Spread cream all on top of the cake and decorate as you please~
